Why Should I Filter Reports?
Because of the nature of reporting tools, it can be helpful to pre-filter your reports before running them. This ensures that you are getting all of the accurate data you need, as well as limiting the unnecessary data in the report. Greater Giving advises filtering most of the reports we have in order to maximize the amount of accurate data in your reports.
How Do I Filter a Report?
Report filtering can occur in two places. First is by selecting Filter as opposed to Run on All or Run on Grid Selection when selecting the report you wish to run. This Filter button will take you to a grid listing where you can apply advanced searches, column sorting, or even manual selection of entries to run a report on. The other filter options include going directly into the grid listing through our View/Edit option, and choosing the same filters either through advanced searches, column sorting, or manual selection of entries.
