Creating a Catalog Page

A Catalog page is a specific page designed to show off your Auction Catalog online. In order to use the Catalog page to its fullest extent, you should first have created your Catalog, and filled in as much information as possible in your packages (including description and images). From there, you can easily create the Catalog page by going into your Manage Project Website, adding a Catalog Page from the drop down menu, and filling in the available fields. Below is a step by step walkthrough of adding a Catalog page.

  1. From the Project Home, select Manage Project Website under the Project Website header.
  2. Using the drop down titled Add a Page, and select a Catalog page.
  3. Click Add.
  4. The Creating a Catalog Page form will appear, here you can fill in all the necessary fields for creating a page.
  5. Choose which Catalog to Display from the drop down menu. The catalog must have already been created. See Creating a Catalog for more information.
  6. Determine the Page Name, Page Visibility and Navigation Text, and the Page Layout.
    • The green question marks will have additional information about Page Visibility, Navigation Text, and Page Layout.
  7. Fill in the Catalog Page Text. This is commonly used to introduce the page, or provide additional information about elements present on the page.
  8. Check the box if you want to Display Table Borders.
  9. Determine how you Group Packages, either by Class or Section.
    • If sorting by Section, additional options include Alphabetically or by Lowest Package Number.
  10. Determine how you will Sort your Catalog using the radial buttons.
  11. Make a check mark for creating a Friendly URL. This is a shortened URL that is easy to distribute to your Supporters, and it’s easier to remember too! The first portion of the Friendly URL is specific to your organization and must be present on your Friendly URL.
  12. Determine Info to Show on Catalog page by making check boxes. This is what is present when viewing the Catalog overview in the webpage.create_cat_page_2.jpg
  13. Click the checkbox to Show Package Details to determine what is shown when a Supporter clicks on a Package to view detailed information within your Catalog.create_cat_page_1.jpg
  14. Click Save to save your work and be taken back to Manage Project Website. You can always go back and edit what you have entered by using Edit Page Settings!
