Mass Enable Supporters for Online Bidding

Greater Giving’s Enable Online Bidding feature allows you to enable a group of your Supporters for Online Bidding, giving them direct access to the bidding site.
This is the recommended way to open bidding prior to your event as it gives bidders direct access to the bidding site and provides a better bidding experience at the event.

Mass Enable:

  1. From the Project Home, click View/Edit Supporters under the Supporters header
  2. Filter the Supporters using Show Advanced Search or a Saved Search

Example: If you wish to enable all of your event attendees for Online Bidding, under the Saved Search drop-downselect Bidders with allocated admissions.

  1. Click More and select Enable Online Bidding.

  1. Check Yes, consider all __ Supporters as verification.
  2. Click OK.

Dependent on your Online Bidding Settings (seeOnline Bidding Settings), the Supporter will instantly receive a Welcome text and/or Welcome email. This cannot be undone.

** USING THIS METHOD DOES NOT REQUIRE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE TO BID **

Manual Enable:

If you wish to manually enable a Supporter for Online Bidding, follow these steps.

  1. From the Project Home, click View/Edit Supporters under the Supporters
  2. Edit the Supporter record.
  3. Click the Bidder tab.
  4. Click the unlock icon.

  5. Check Is an Online Bidder. 444.jpg
  6. Click Save to enable that Supporter for Online Bidding.

As mentioned above, dependent on your Online Bidding Settings (see: Online Bidding Settings), the Supporter will instantly receive a Welcome text and/or Welcome email when the box is checked and the change is saved.
